Ponderosa Pet Resort is the premier dog training facility in North Texas. Together, Dennis and Bryan, our professional trainers, have more than 50 years of experience in obedience training and helping dog owners understand and manage dogs with aggressive traits and behaviors.
Our methods are tried and true and work well with all breeds and sizes of dogs. Our training methods make for happy dogs that work out of loyalty and respect, not fear. We tailor our training style to each individual case to achieve the best possible result.
As a police officer, Dennis spent more than 18 years as a handler and trainer at the police department. He has had the opportunity to train and work with hundreds of dogs and their handlers for other departments in Texas and around the country.
Bryan has trained dogs as well as marine mammals in Texas and overseas for more than 25 years. Bryan has been working for Ponderosa for 3 years and loves his job.
We highly recommend that you call and speak to one of our trainers to see how we can help you and your pet with your specific needs and problems.
BOARD AND TRAIN PACKAGE
BASIC OBEDIENCE TRAINING
Includes leather leash and collar.
Our method of training requires that you drop your dog off with us for 4 and up to 6 weeks for the training process. While he/she is here we are able to train multiple times a day for obedience, behavioral issues and work on socialization. This allows your pet to have constant interaction with our staff as well as being around other dogs that are constantly in and out. Our training guests have the same great lodging arrangements and play time as our regular boarding pets. This is a great program and our constant full schedule of training clients speaks for itself.
Includes basic obedience:
Heeling with automatic sit
Focus drills to increase attention level
Waiting to go through doors until given command to do so
Exercise barking control
Leather Leash and Training Collar
